Little Bit of Our Life in March

This month we have been very busy. I started a new job (I am a nanny again!!), we went on a mini road trip and now we are planning our long road trip to Arkansas. Here are a few pictures and highlights of our month of March...

March 1st- At the YMCA, we celebrated Dr. Seuss` Birthday with green milk for breakfast then crafts & wheels day in the afternoon.

March 2nd & 3rd- I had my job interview and was hired as a nanny (start in 2 weeks). After the interview, we left for a road trip to Oregon. We visited a few spots that were filmed in the "Twilight" movie. I enjoyed the yummy grilled cheese sandwich at the Carver Cafe (Belle & her dad`s restaurant).

March 7th- I helped in the YMCA kindergarten class and we made a rainbow craft. On my way home, I saw a beautiful rainbow on the the lake road.

March 9th- In the morning, I took Jenna to the vet to get shots. She needed her rabies shot before we leave on vacation. She didn`t like the vet (she kept spitting out the treat that he tried to give her). In the afternoon, Nana, Papa & I visited Aunt Karen at her work at the Walter Hall Golf Course.

March 10th- We went to Pat`s house and played canasta with her & Thomas.

March 13th- We finished a 1000 piece puzzle that Peggy gave us.

March 15th- Today was my last day working at the YMCA. Everyone was very nice and supportive. I recieved flowers, presents (a scrapbook from all the kids at the site) and three cakes.

March 16th- We celebrated Elsie`s 5th Birthday at the Anderberg`s house. The theme was costumes & candy store party. Nana made Elsie a giant candy cake with an Angry Bird candied apple in the middle.

March 17th- For St. Patrick`s Day, we went to the Old Hymn Sing Along at our church. My favorites that we sang were "I Saw the Light" and "I Fly Away".

March 18th- This was my 1st day of my new nanny job. I only had to work in the morning and so after work I went over to the Anderbergs. I got to play with the girls for a little bit and join in on their school studies. We pretended to fly from India to China (They will be studying China for the next couple weeks and on Friday we are going to visit the International District in Seattle.)

March 19th- We decorated giant bunny cookies with Evan.

March 22nd- We got snow in the morning but it didn`t last long. We had plans to go to Seattle with the Anderbergs and we were glad the snow stayed off the roads. We shopped at the Uwajimaya market and got some yummy pastries. I tried the lotus seed bun (delicious!). After buying some souveniors at the market, we went walking in the International District. The girls had fun playing ping pong (table tennis) at the park. When we were finished walking around, we were all starving so we headed over to Bamboo Gardens (a delicious all vegetarian cuisine restaurant...yes we can eat anything off the menu!!). I love the sweet-n-sour veggie chicken- YUM YUM!! Nana & Papa got the almond fried veggie chicken. After we were all stuffed, we went to the Asian Art Museum and Volunteer Park. We had a fun-filled packed day.

March 23rd- Today was Spring Cleaning Day at our church. I had fun cleaning and organizing the Sunday School room. I love the before and after pictures. It was a great day to work along side our brothers & sisters in Christ and fellowship together.
