New Travel Wagon & Gravel

On Friday, Nana & Papa bought a GMC Yukon. This vehicle has so many features that it can practically drive itself. It will be really nice to drive it on our next road trip. This weekend we also got new gravel for the driveway. Our friends had given us a gift certificate at Christmas for a load of gravel. The man that delivered the gravel was able to spread alot of it with his dump truck. The gravel that he was not able to spread, he dumped in one giant pile. Then we had to rake the rest of it ourselves. Shawn came up to the house to help us. We used shovels, rakes, and a wooden grader (Papa`s homemade tool). After a couple hours and a few ibuprofens later, we finished and the driveway looks great!!

Birch Bay Scrapbook Retreat 2013

I had a glorious week of scrapbooking with Cheri, Felicia, and Deborah. We had alot of fun together! This time we stayed in the Penthouse condo and this was the first year that I got to stay in the Master Suite...Whoo Hoo!! We were all trying to go healthy this year so no junk food but lots and lots of fresh fruit & fruit smoothies. We did celebrate Felicia`s Birthday with angel food cake with fresh strawberries and whip cream. On Tuesday, we also went on a very long walk to the Birch Bay State Park. We walked a total of 5.5 miles. After exercising, it was nice to relax in our own hot tub (a penthouse perk).  This was another great scrapbooking retreat and I can`t wait for next year.

On our way to Birch Bay, we stopped at the StampaDoodle scrapbook store.

                                                              I loved my Master Suite!

We ate lots of yummy food on this retreat...fresh fruit, macaroni monday, taco tuesday, Deborah`s homemade salsa, english muffin pizzas, Felicia`s homemade chili, and my yummy fruit smoothies.

Felicia was very good at sticking with her points and measuring & weighing her food.

We scrapbooked, scrapbooked, and scrapbooked...late into the wee hours of the morning.

We walked to the State Park. When we arrived, the search was on for a bathroom. I didn`t think we needed to read the map...well it might of helped to find a bathroom that wasn`t closed...Cheri was not amused. When you need to go...you need go!! But without that detour, we would not of seen the sheriff`s work crew or the Beautiful Eagle or was it a Cool Crane or was it a Vulture?

Eagle, Crane, or Vulture?

Finally we found an open bathroom!!

The map that I thought we did not need to read.

We made it back to the condos...5.5 miles!!

It was so nice to relax in the hot tub after a long walk.

On Thursday morning, I went on a walk to the beach.

Our last night at the condo, we took pictures of the lovely sunset.

Deborah is peekin` at the construction at the condos. The paint smell was very strong in the hallways & elevator. We also got to watch a crane get very close to our penthouse window as they were bringing down furniture & matresses from the upstairs condo.

Picture of us in the elevator on our way to workout in the fitness room.

Bye condos, Bye Birch Bay until next year...I will miss you.

On our way home, Cheri & I stopped by the Mt. Vernon Co-op. Cheri wanted to get some souvenir gifts for the girls. I love all the organic/green stuff and I just love the co-op!
